Diversity & Inclusion and Talent Projects Manager

SMCP

I initiated the first Diversity & Inclusion projects, aligned with the launch of our CSR strategy around the pillars: Product, Planet, People. That’s how my current role as Diversity & Inclusion Manager came to be.
What’s your background?

After my studies, I quickly entered the professional world, transitioning from retail to an HR role.
I joined SMCP in 2017, first at Maje as HR Manager for the Europe region, then moved to the Group’s headquarters to join the HR team.
There, I took on HRIS responsibilities and launched the first Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, aligned with the CSR strategy built around the pillars: Product, Planet, People.
This is how my current role — Diversity & Inclusion Manager — was created.

What are the key qualities for your job?

I wasn’t specifically trained for this role — I came into it through conviction and experience.
Above all, you need a genuine curiosity for social issues and a deep interest in people in all their diversity.
Humility is also crucial: Diversity & Inclusion topics are constantly evolving, and we learn every day — often by challenging our own assumptions.

Listening, empathy, conviction, and the ability to bring together very different stakeholders (works councils, social partners, HR teams, leadership…) are all essential.
And you need to know how to prioritize — to accept that not everything can move at the same pace, even if you’d love to transform everything all at once.

What drives you every day?

Knowing that what I put in place has a real impact on employees’ well-being is what motivates me the most.
Contributing to a more inclusive, fair, and seamless work experience gives true meaning to my job.

Something you're proud of?

I’m very proud of the rollout of our parental policy across all countries, as well as the creation of our disability inclusion initiative and all the support programs that followed.
The launch of the SMCP Retail Lab is also a major achievement: this program helps people who are far from employment join our brands through work-study placements, becoming the sales advisors of tomorrow.

I wasn’t specifically trained for this role — I came into it through conviction and experience.

SMCP in 3 words?

Boldness, because I’ve always been encouraged to take initiative, test ideas, and bring new concepts to life.
Creativity, because innovation is deeply rooted in our culture.
And trust, because throughout my journey, I’ve been given the freedom and support to create, experiment, and grow.

I’m proof that here, you can build a unique, personal career path — and shape it through the opportunities that arise.

Je suis la preuve qu’ici, on peut tracer un parcours singulier, à son image, et le faire grandir au fil des opportunités.
