Global News

1 – Change in SMCP governance: Isabelle Guichot is appointed as Group CEO!

Evelyne Chetrite, Judith Milgrom & Ilan Chetrite, together with SMCP’s Board of Directors, have appointed Isabelle Guichot as Group CEO and Director, effective August 2, 2021.

Isabelle joined the Group as CEO of Maje in September 2017 and has since then successfully grown the brand while demonstrating continuously her business and leadership skills, with a precise and inspiring vision.

Isabelle is a graduate of HEC. She joined SMCP after more than 25 years of a highly successful and recognized career in the luxury sector, within Kering and Richemont, where she has developed as a CEO many Houses, such as Balenciaga, Sergio Rossi, Van Cleef & Arpels and Lancel.

Her passion for retail and fashion and her fine knowledge of the SMCP environment and platform, strategy and Brands, as well as her international exposure in the luxury sector, make her the natural successor of Daniel Lalonde who has decided to pursue new professional opportunities outside the Group. He will ensure a transition period with Isabelle before leaving the Group in October 2021.

Congratulations to Isabelle for this significative evolution which is totally in line with our internal mobility policy and thank you to Daniel for the great work he has accomplished over the past eight years.

2 – Collection presentation conferences are back in our Brands!

Like every year, the Fall/Winter collections are presented to the teams in September! For 2021, our Brands have once again chosen a digital format that allows everyone to virtually come together to be inspired and carried away by the new creations of our Artistic Directors!

At SANDRO

On September 14, 2021, the Sandro teams met for the Fall/Winter 21 digital conference: a moment out of time, full of information and emotions!

The day started with a brand conference, between videos and live interventions. Isabelle Allouch, alongside Daniel Lalonde and Isabelle Guichot shared the strategy of the brand and the SMCP group. After an inspiring interview with the Artistic Directors, Evelyne and Ilan Chetrite, the Purchasing and Production teams unveiled the collection inspirations and the production strategy implemented this season.  Two fashion shows were then held to showcase the look of Sandro women and men this winter. The Marketing team unveiled the season’s communication plan. Finally, Anne Cottin, Sandro Sales Director, reviewed the highlights of the past season and presented the Fall/Winter 21 retail priorities.

The retail teams then took part in a zone conference: a privileged moment with their Sales Directors during which they celebrated the achievements of the past season with the presentation of the Awards, a time of exchange punctuated by an interactive quiz and a Q&A session.

To live a mark on this digital event, each Store Manager received a box specially designed for the occasion, containing Sandro goodies.

To discover the exclusive contents of the conference, go to MyLearning.

At CLAUDIE PIERLOT

The Claudie Pierlot Fall/Winter 2021 Digital conference was the opportunity for Claudie Pierlot’s France, Europe and Asia teams to discover the season’s objectives through the presentation of the management team’s members.

They were all gathered around this event which unveiled the collection inspirations, the marketing plan, the purchasing structure and also the key sales objectives/ou targets for the season. Event during which Isabelle Guichot who wanted to deliver a message to the teams for the launch of the new season ?

3 – A Miam for back-to-school!

The Miam! your long-awaited monthly meeting (last Friday of the month), hosted by Christelle Sanchez (Diversity, Inclusion & SIRH Project Manager) to all Parisian HQs! It’s an opportunity to meet for an casual and friendly moment over a lunch in the presence of a “Miameur” who will talk about his job!

This month, Justine Bénit, Group Sustainability Manager, came to share with us her job, her passion, her daily life, all her challenges and achievements on this promising topic for the Group!

Thanks to all those who joined the lunch, the places were sold out very quickly! So, if you (unfortunately) missed the chance to exchange with Justine, you may learn more about sustainability by discovering the dedicated module on the My Learning platform!

The only question… Who will be the next Miameurs?

Sustainability Culture

1 – Discover the new sustainability tab on our corporate website!

We are delighted to announce that our corporate website has been adapted to the life of the Group and its priorities and ambitions by dedicating a new tab to Sustainability.

As you know, the Group has opened its 4th chapter, that of global, responsible & phy-gital brands, with the conviction that Parisian elegance has to be sustainable.

The Group’s commitment continues to grow. After writing our Group Sustainability Strategy in 2019, and the initiatives undertaken by our Brands and Regions and the appropriation of this topic by each of us, it is now time to communicate, both internally and externally, with the creation of a new tab on our SMCP corporate website.

We know that there is still a long way to go, but we are committed to it with enthusiasm and humility. Our desire today is to communicate more openly on our ambition to make this Parisian elegance sustainable through our 3 pillars: SMCProduct, SMCPlanet and SMCPeople.

The idea is that all together, we will collectively reach our 2025 objectives.

You can now find this new sustainability tab that will allow you to be inspired and to immerse yourself in our sustainability strategy, the 3 pillars that make it up as well as the related documents. It’s here!

2 – Claudie Pierlot is going green: GREENER LIFE

This autumn, at Claudie Pierlot, the Brand is celebrating Mother Nature with a specially developed cottage core vibe. The Earth has so much goodness to offer, be inspired by and do justice to. Continuing its mission from 2018, it is still working on its responsibilities at all levels of Claudie Pierlot to see how it can produce in a more respectful way and achieve our goals. This means traceable, eco-designed and organically grown, which now make up most of our collections, as in this new capsule collection.

This season, the Brand is taking you to the countryside: our future is going green!

During its statement about Greener Life, Claudie Pierlot wanted to focus its Trade activations on Claudie Cares in order to give visibility to its eco-friendly commitment in France and the UK.

The purpose was to highlight its eco-friendly pieces through 100% Claudie Cares looks inspired by the Greener Life photoshoot. To adorn the windows, the Brand chose to collaborate with PAMPA, a very fashionable Parisian florist, for a very colorful green atmosphere.
