Global News

1– These inspirational “mobilities”

On Tuesday, October 22nd, we announced the appointments of Elina Kousourna as the new CEO of De Fursacto succeed to Edmond Cohen who will become President of the Supervisory Board of De FursacAlix Le Naour will remain Artistic Director of the brand.

Flavien d’Audiffret becomes SMCP’s new Strategy, Digital and Development Director. 

These two appointments fit perfectly with our company culture, deeply rooted in our entrepreneurial spirit, which fosters the internal mobility and the development of our talents.

2 – New offices for SMCP North America...

Our North American teams inaugurated their new offices in New York City this month. They moved to the famous business district of the city on 44 Wall Street! The offices are modern and sustainable, inspired by teams feedbacks and they are finally together! Congratulations!

3 -... And brand-new offices for our Shanghai team!

SMCP opened a new chapter in Asia with a structure built in a few months in Shanghai to support our ambitions in China. The local team is in transition with our partner Translatio which operated in this region. Let’s have a quick peak at our teams working environment with formal and team working spaces. Welcome to SMCP China!

 

4 – Immersion in our Brands Press Days during Paris Fashion Week

It’s the same routine every season: Fashion week makes Paris shine a little brighter. For their Spring Summer 20 Press Days, Sandro, Maje and Claudie decided to think big presenting collections ever more desirable and inspirational.  

Sandro sails from New Delhi to Paris. A journey between the Indian summer etched of pastel colors and oriental inspirations. Our Parisian woman becomes adventurous, playing with denim pieces and deep prints.

Maje takes us to the Sixties with a chic and glamorous pool party. Wear your oversize sunglasses and flashy outfits or your feminine little dresses. The active woman likes playing with colors this summer: baby blue, pale yellow and bubblegum pink.

Claudie’s twist turns more edgy and insightful. Through the industrial setting of an art gallery and colorful Pantone, the pieces move around, strong by their cuts but soft by their colors. Claudie is playing with the ages and never stops reinventing itself…

5 – Our Brands x Vestiaire Collective

Sandro, Maje & Claudie Pierlot join Vestiaire Collective. The concept highlightthe circular economy. This website allows exchanges and sale of luxury pieces between individuals. To promote this action, the brands decided to reward those who sell their articles. Our creations never blur, we give them a second life! First steps of a European partnership towards an international effort…

5 - Claudie Pierlot Inauguration Party!

Last month, we announced the opening of Claudie Pierlot’s new flagship on the Champs-Elysées. In this new store, Claudie Pierlot keeps the brand codes with marine blue and gold brass. Among the innovation, an “endless mirror” room allows visitors to immortalize the moment with a picture and to share it on social medias. 

To big opening, big inauguration! Claudie Pierlot invited celebrities and friends of the Maison to celebrate this beautiful eventAudrey Fleurot, Alice David, Anne Marivin, Morgane Polanski, Lolita Chammah, Alysson Paradis, Charlotte Gabris, Lena Simonne, Iman Perez, Lucie Boujenah but also international magazines editors came to enjoy the evening.

7 - #MajeMyDogAndI Campaign

You absolutely can’t have missed this quirky and daring campaign… Selfie craze and dogs all cuddly, we loved it! Especially Gipsy, Judith’s dog! 

For this campaign, what’s better than Instagram, selfie icon, to play with one’s image and favorite companion? The “selfie challenge” organized by Maje garnered more than 6,500 entries, more than 40,000 new followers and a collaboration with 13 influencers. Let’s just say, social media and selfies work!

CLAUDIECARES what is it? A more responsible fashion without compromise for style. Claudie Pierlot commits and challenges itself to be more respectful of the planet. CLAUDIECARES is based on 4 pillars: offer more eco-friendly collections, reduce the environmental impact, keep the people and its French know-how at the heart of the priorities. A beautiful initiative to discover on the brand’s website…   

2 – FIRST STONE

 

Everything starts with the first stone laid. Maje’s first steps towards more responsible and eco-friendly fashion. Did you know jeans are the item which causes the most pollution? That’s why Maje’s teams focused on it and decided to launch this first collection entirely produced with and eco-friendly process. Result ? A significant decrease in energy and chemical use as well as a 95% reduction of water consumption.   

This announcement marks the start of a new page for Maje towards more eco-responsabilityLet’s discover NuriaMicheala and Bianca… 

3- SMCP x Maje for Odyssea against breast cancer

 

At the Group, we are committed to engage our people to contribute to support causes dear to our hearts. SMCP and Maje are proud to have run, on October 8th, for the Odyssea run which helps breast cancer research. #PinkOctober

Coffee-Break with Charlotte

Each season, the Fashion Week comes to Paris a little brighter. In a more industrial and insightful atmosphere, Claudie Pierlot presents to the international editors, influencers and celebrities its new Spring Summer 2020 collection. On this occasion, we met the person behind the organization of events such as the Press Day or the Claudie Pierlot Champs-Elysées inauguration: Charlotte, PR & Media Manager.

Hidden behing her bangs, she welcomes us in the Claudie Pierlot office. For her, the adventure started quicker than she thought. She says « I did the interviews one by one. I didn’t expect it but I accepted the challenge ». Upon her arrival, Aurélie, Marketing & Communication Director, decided to reorganize the department in order to create a real PR & Media manager. Charlotte is attracted by the challenge of the Brand: a lot to do, many challenges, a brand to grow and develop. That’s what she likefrom the get go!

Her work is 360°. If you see Claudie Pierlot in magazines, on social media or worn by celebrities, it’s her achievementShe works on press and public relations and on media strategy. She helps press agencies in knowing the product, in building the brand desirability… but also in press days or trips. She finds her motivation in always making the collection very desirableach season, in making sure that the design teams create fashion pieces that the press will love. « My part is to highlight the collections and make them desirable for the journalists so that they photograph and publish them for readers and client to see them in magazines. It’s an everyday challenge! ». If journalists love the brand, mission accomplished!

In the public relations business, we focus on product placement. The idea is to seduce VIPs, influencers, celebrities in various sectors who fit with the brand image. « We are looking for international women who love and represent the brand. » «Sharp women » she specifiesIn this job, it’s all about building relationships, attract them, seduce them and always be there to get them 100% behind the brand ». 

« I’m not easily impressed, that’s why I get very precious contacts. I take personal pride in that.  »

Charlotte tells us « to successfully collaborate with international celebrities and influencers makes me so glad ». Gradually, Charlotte met people, developed her contacts. She feels that there is a part of one’s personality, the fact that she is not afraid, that she likegathering people around a project, a brand and values are what make her good. Everything happens naturally. « I dreamt of working in fashion. I meet fabulous people. When I take a step back, I tell myself that this job makes me very happy and I’m so delighted ». 

In 2 years, I oversaw many projects and the brand has been very dynamic with a repositioning and Charlotte is proud of everything achieved. « We see beautiful things at Claudie Pierlot ». For her, Claudie Pierlot is a real « crush » and she will surprise us even more in 2020… A more unexpected, high-end and street collaboration, which benefits the brand! We won’t spoil the surprise for you…
