Creative Update

1 Fashion Stories of Sandro

Sandro

The Sandro woman has travel on her mind. Her heart is like a sensitive camera that captures the colours and emotions of the world around her. For spring/summer 2020, her look remains Parisian, but her mind wanders to India in a blend of Paris and New Delhi style.

Loyal to the beautiful Paris boulevards of the 90s, she plays with the bourgeois conventions of a past with a colonial flavour: she dresses in elegant tweed ensembles with a slight preppy feel, her blazers are decorated with golden embroidery or insignia, and her iconic beige trench is updated with pleats. […] Alongside this chic and conservative look, the design studio enhances pieces with eastern hues and memories of India in a colour palette as rich as an Indian summer. […] She sometimes chooses a pastel tie dye, reminding her of the Holi festival of colours she attended before returning to Paris.

Sandro Men

For the spring / summer 2020 season, Sandro imagines a man relaxing in Mediterranean style. He contrasts his stylistic obsessions with ease, settling part way between US-style workwear and the retro elegance of chic city neighborhoods.

His double-breasted suit with its patterned wool based on the city trader style is reinterpreted with all the lightness of the season. It is the suit of a man who is both tender and masculine. […] To parallel this nonchalant Mediterranean atmosphere, the studio is demonstrating a certain attachment to vintage pieces. A zippered worker’s shirt in textured cotton, a vintage brown leather aviator jacket, a vintage stripped knit, and a Hawaiian shirt are just a few of the pieces that the creation studio has revisited season after season. But these reinterpretations are realised without a trace of nostalgia. And if the Sandro man trades in his slippers for cowboy boots, it is only to better anchor his look in an urban environment.

2 Maje in Miami Safari

This summer, let loose with a road trip to Florida. For SS20, Maje will be headed to Miami Beach, The Everglades, Orlando and Key West. Lots of parties, lots of pools, and lots of parties around pools – Slim Aarons style. There is nothing to suggest that we will ever return – nothing but the fact that this isn’t Paris.

Claudie Pierlot

A wave of freedom is washing over Claudie Pierlot this summer and making us long to travel, to explore, to escape… Our vagabond soul is picturing itself beyond distant horizons.

In the city, the Claudie Pierlot woman takes a stroll in ultra-fluid pieces. The prints are multiple and contrasting: abstract reds and blacks, picture postcard style or with fun colorful heart motifs. Soft tailoring pieces complete the wardrobe with draping viscose and linen suits. On the other side of the world, she adapts her look fora 70s silhouette. Suede features in a total look or on a fringed caramel jacket, the must-have of the season.

4  De Fursac

A man from elsewhere watches us. A witness from another world, he discovers elegance and its laws. For the duration of a season, De Fursac celebrates and adopts this new gaze.

Green, sky blue, chocolate: outfits in pure hues cohabit with the powerful patterns of a short-sleeve shirt or the off-white of a shawl-collared tuxedo. Like the men in their chosen exile, De Fursac thus blends the colours under the sky of the eternal summers of old.

Entrepreneurs Stories

Coffee-Break with Charline

Webdesigner Claudie Pierlot

My daily challenge is not to fall into the routine. Always be proactive, think outside the box.

In digital, everything goes at speedlight, everything changes and evolves very quickly. Charline explains “what is interesting in my job is to constantly renew myself, to be curious, to be interested in what is happening, what is being made” Obsolescence can happen faster than we think. That’s why Charline always stays on top of the competition, of the new visual and creative trends.

You must never rest on your laurels, you must be constantly evolving. The ways of expressing oneself in graphic design are very different according to the Brand universe.

The creation department is the one which adds value to the digital communication tools: “we have a 360º floor connection with the shops”. This is a daily challenge for Charline which faces a constantly changing demand for performance, visibility and aesthetics. “On a daily basis, I work with the digital service. I am in charge of all the creations of the department: customer service, CRM, social networks, traffic and finally the website. And of course, all at the same time, otherwise it would not be fun! “.

Since her arrival 6 years ago, the department has evolved a lot. She explains “at that time, there was a small team and social networks were just beginning their climb. Nowadays, we are active on a daily basis in these media which means we need to offer a lot of animated and catchy visual contents for our customers and community. It is an essential and challenging mean of communication.

« When I arrived at Claudie Pierlotwe were 5 at the digital departmentToday we are 13. There is a real need.  »

Charline contributed to the digital evolution of Claudie Pierlot. What motivates her is not only the constantly increasing number of projects but also the human side and the benevolance of her colleagues. “Nowadays, Responsibility is one of the essential values of the Brand. If I haone pride lately, it would be to be part of the ClaudieCares project, which defines Claudie Pierlot’s commitments in terms of social and environmental responsibility. The aim of the project is to identify and roll out solutions in order to limit the brand’s ecological impact, without compromising the quality and the style of the pieces.” In terms of digital issue, it goes through the creation of different communication supports (newsletter, Instagram stories, institutional web page…) in order to inform and alert colleagues and customers.

« At Claudie Pierlot, this commitment is bound to grow towards more responsible ready-to-wear in years to come.  »
