It's the last day of March, it's time to take a break to read your SMCP newsletter!

To close the first quarter of the year and to celebrate the arrival of a (hopefully) sunny Spring, we have cooked for you a spicy broth of the latest news: 2021 full-year results, Press Days, internal events, and spring collections.

We have a special thought for Ukraine and are very concerned for the safety of the teams and their families and we are keeping ourselves informed of the situation on a daily basis and would like to assure them of our full support.

Initiatives have been launched by our various BUs, and the Group is joining in this surge of solidarity from our teams, through spontaneous financial donations, collections of basic necessities and donations of warm clothing for the refugees…

In parallel, the SMCP Group is pursuing its commitment to Médecins Sans Frontières by a significant amount to their Emergency Fund, which will be used to supply medicine to health centers managed by MSF in Ukraine.

We continue to monitor the situation closely and hope for a peaceful and rapid resolution to this tragic conflict.

2 – SMCP and its Brands celebrate International Women’s Rights Day

 

On International Women’s Rights Day, we saw initiatives popping in our Brands & BUs to celebrate and thank all the women who make SMCP what it has been, what it is today and how it is shaping itself for tomorrow.

This included a word from our founders, the distribution of roses, the making of cupcakes and a half-day vacation offered in China.

From March 16 to 22, the Spring-Summer campaign can be seen in 148 Parisian kiosks. Had you noticed it?

Do you feel like going to the movies? Pay attention… From March 30 to April 5 inclusive, watch the Spring-Summer 2022 campaign video by Fursac, which will be shown in all UGC cinemas in Paris.

5 – The Paris Marathon is coming, and SANDRO is preparing its teams!

 

To support them in the best manner on the D-day, SANDRO offers to its participating employees an access to a private Sandro space which will give them the right to:

  • A team photo with a professional photographer before the departure
  • A snack before the departure from 7am
  • Shelves to store their belongings during the run
  • A snack after the run
  • Recovery treatments with osteopaths

Sustainability Culture

1 – We need you for our mobility survey!

In line with our Sustainability Strategy, we are updating our Carbon Footprint review and we need your help!

What is the carbon footprint review? The Carbon Footprint is an international diagnosis tool aimed at reaching a better understanding and providing an analysis of the activity of individuals, companies, communities and administrations in terms of GHG emissions (Greenhouse Gases, i.e. those responsible for climate change).

Dozens of data have to be gathered before being computed by a big « calculator » which converts them into « kilograms of CO2 emitted ». Among these data is the commuting of our employees: we wish to learn more about your mobility habits.

We are counting on you to answer this questionnaire, which will not take you more than 3 minutes, promise!

An impactful and colorful communication is announced on social networks on TikTok or on Instagram, with the collaboration with Sadie Sink (@sadiesink_) and Lena Situations (@lenamahfouf). And you, will you dare the Mix-It?

The second highlight of the SS22 Maje campaign will take you a little further into the summer…

Beneath a hypnotic sky, the desire for colours to set balmy evenings ablaze. Seduce from early morning until late at night.

We already told you this, but sometimes you need to take off elsewhere to recharge your batteries. And at the start of 2022, we all need that feeling of freedom!
