SMCP continues its commitment to the Apprentis d’Auteuil!
For the second consecutive year, our Brands have made new donations of clothing to the students of the Apprentis d’Auteuil in order to supply their stock and sustain their educational boutique.
In order to best represent our Brands during the opening of the Boutique, each student received a complete SMCP professional outfit: 2 outfits per student (suits or clothes for girls) as well as an outfit for a professional interview or an oral exam/test.
The Boutique is at the heart of the project and is exclusively supplied by the donations from our 4 Brands, which enabled them to open 5 times this year, on some key dates*. This gives the students of the NVQ sales program the opportunity to practice sales exercise in real conditions, to improve their apprenticeship, customer advice and sales ceremony.
In addition, the profits from these sales are used to professionalize the existing equipment. This year, the Boutique was equipped with fitting rooms, mirrors, additional furniture for a larger sales area and shopping baskets for the customers. The other part of the profits was donated to the Apprentis d’Auteuil to support other projects of the network.
The €27,000 profits made this year will allow them to invest in a digital cash register next year, which will facilitate stock management and the professionalization of the Boutique, as well as to finance a trip to Paris.
The unsold goods, nearly 300 pieces, were distributed to the association La Cravate Solidaire.
We are delighted to be able to invest in such a project, which is committed, significant and large-scale, and which has an impact on many young apprentices. We do not intend to stop there, with a forecast of 5 new openings next year.
Congratulations to all the teams who have worked closely or remotely on the success of this beautiful and lasting partnership!
